  • An easy sangria recipe -nothing overcomplicated and quick to make!
  • Perfect for crowds – you can easily double or triple the recipe!
  • Easily customizable – Use any of your favorite fruits, your desired juice, and your liquor of choice —rum, vodka, gin, or brandy are great options for this recipe!

Sangria Recipe Ingredients:

  • Fresh Fruit: A mix of fresh berries and citrus works great. In this recipe we use, strawberries, orange, lime, blueberries, and pomegranate, but you can also add sliced peaches, plums, and pears if you like!
  • Sugar: You’ll need just a bit of sugar to make macerated fruit. The strawberries are sprinkled with sugar, which helps to break down the strawberries and create a perfectly sweetened base for the sangria!
  • Rosé Wine: A crisp, dry rose works best. Use your favorite pink wine! 🙂
  • Triple Sec or Brandy: In this recipe, we use triple sec, but feel free to use your liqueur or liquor of choice! Rum, Gin, and Vodka also work great in this recipe!
  • Fruit Juice: Use grapefruit or pomegranate juice. Both options add a delicious flavor to the drink and enhance the flavor of the sangria.
  • Fresh Mint and Sparkling Water: To serve, pour the rose sangria into glasses and top with fresh mint and sparkling water (or club soda) for the perfect cocktail!

Best Rosé Wine To Make Sangria

Dry, crisp Rosé that is not overly sweet, like that of the Syrah or Pinot Noir variety, works perfectly for making sangria. The flavor will complement the lightly macerated fruit, triple sec, fresh citrus, and berries, creating a well-balanced delightful drink! French Rosé wines are a great option!

Keep in mind that there is no need for a super expensive bottle of rosé to make sangria; bottles less than $20 work perfectly!

How To Make Rosé Sangria?

  1. Start by macerating the strawberries: Remove the stems of the strawberries and slice them in halves and quarters. Add the strawberries and sugar to a large pitcher and mix well until all strawberries are evenly coated. Place the pitcher in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Lightly mash the strawberries: Squeeze the juice from 1/2 orange onto the strawberries. Stir the mixture and lightly mash the strawberries to create more liquid, as desired.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients: Toss in the remaining fruit. Then, pour in the rosé wine, triple sec, and fruit juice (pomegranate or grapefruit juice works best). Add in the mint and stir to combine.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour: Let the sangria chill in the fridge for at least one hour before serving.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Pour the sangria into a glass (with or without ice cubes) making sure each glass has pieces of fruit. Top with sparkling water or club soda and garnish with fresh mint.

Tips When Making This Sangria Rosé Recipe

  • The strawberries are macerated in sugar to draw out their natural juices and create a sweet mixture to be used as the base for the Sangria. Let the strawberries macerate (sit in the sugar) for at least 30 minutes and up to 24 hours. You can leave the mixture as is, or lightly mash the strawberries to draw out more juice.
  • This recipe is quicker than traditional sangria recipes. Because the fruit is macerated before adding the sangria ingredients, the flavors marry a lot faster. One hour of chill time before serving this drink is perfect!
  • Add whatever booze you like! The beauty of this recipe is that the flavors mix well with most types of liquor. You can use gin, rum, brandy, or vodka, and the flavor will taste great! Use a third of a cup, or more according to your taste.
