Avocado Crema is a luscious, tangy, mouth-watering sauce made with avocados, cilantro, and a few other ingredients. It is a versatile sauce that can be drizzled on everything from savory tacos, a hearty salad, sauteed chicken, roasted salmon, and more. This recipe is dairy-free and can be made in less than 5 minutes!

What does avocado crema taste like?
It is SOO good!! Avocado crema is like a luscious, sophisticated version of guacamole. The texture is smooth and creamy and it can be drizzled on almost any dish. The flavor is phenomenal. With this avocado crema recipe, the sauce has a tinge of spice from the jalapeno, a refreshing bite from the cilantro, and a rich creamy profile from the avocado.

How can I use avocado crema?
I first determined I needed avocado crema after making INCREDIBLE tacos using the leftover wine-braised short rib I had in the fridge. I made delicious mango salsa to go on top and needed just the right sauce to finish off this perfect taco: avocado crema. It was phenomenal!
So, as you can tell, tacos are perfect for topping with avocado crema, but it also pairs well with any Mexican style dish. Meat and fish dishes also taste great with avocado crema drizzled on top or served as a dipping sauce, like my sheet pan salmon with roasted asparagus and potatoes; the avocado crema made this dish even more scrumptious. There are infinite ways in which you can use this delicious sauce; just have fun with it!
