Let’s make Honey Garlic Air Fryer Salmon!
This is one of my go-to meals during the week. It’s super quick to make —seriously takes less than 15 minutes total with only a few minutes of me actually doing any prep! I usually pair my honey garlic salmon with veggies and rice or quinoa. This is one of those dishes that is packed with flavor and effortless to make! It is one of my favorite quick meals, right next to my Baked Trout Recipe!
What You Need To Make Honey Garlic Air Fryer Salmon
- Salmon: You can use salmon that has the skin on or salmon without the skin. I use two 6-ounce salmon fillets but feel free to use up to 8-ounce fillets for this recipe.
- Coconut Amino: Coconut Amino is a healthy, tasty soy sauce alternative and a great gluten-free option. You can always use soy sauce instead of coconut amino in this recipe if you choose.
- Honey: The honey provides a sweet, rich depth of flavor and helps to achieve the delicious caramelized crust. You can also use pure maple syrup instead of honey.
- Garlic: The garlic is the best part, IMO! Use fresh minced garlic for the best flavor! You won’t be disappointed.
- Salt, Pepper, Red Crushed Pepper: These seasonings are completely optional, but a pinch of each enhances the flavors of the recipe!
How To Cook Salmon In The Air Fryer
- Combine the coconut amino, honey, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
- Pour half of the sauce over the salmon fillets and season with salt, pepper, and red crushed peppers. If time permits, let the salmon marinate for 30 minutes in the fridge.
- Next, line your air fryer basket with foil. This helps for an easier clean-up later! Spray with oil to prevent the salmon from sticking.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 3 minutes.
- Baste the salmon with the remaining sauce.
- Place the salmon in the air fryer (skin side down). Air fry for 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon. The salmon is done when it has a caramelized crust, easily flakes, and falls apart with a fork. (Salmon Internal temp with an instant thermometer should read 145F when it is fully cooked)
- Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
Sides To Eat With Your Honey Garlic Air Fryer Salmon
This salmon pairs perfectly with asparagus and you can cook it alongside the salmon in the air fryer. Asparagus only takes 8 minutes to cook in the air fryer. Season the asparagus with a little salt, pepper, and olive oil. Be sure to watch the time and add the asparagus next to the salmon when there are 8 minutes left.
