Bison VS Beef
- Bison is lower in calories and saturated fat than beef.
- Bison has a higher nutrient profile, supplying high amounts of iron and vitamin b-12.
- Both bison and beef have similar protein contents: 23-25g protein per 4 ounces.
- Buffalo are raised sustainably and under better conditions than cows, including having more grazing time as they are usually raised on ranches or farms. They are also more likely to be grass-fed and never given antibiotics or hormones.
Buying Quality Meat
I get my bison from Butcher Box. I like to buy my meat from Butcher Box. Their cattle are pasture-raised, grass-fed and finished, and never injected with hormones, antibiotics, or steroids! Common Questions

Yes, you can most certainly make these meatballs in the air fryer. Simply, cook the meatballs at 370°F for 13 minutes. Work in batches if needed to ensure the meatballs are not overcrowded in the air fryer.
How To Make Keto Bison Meatballs?
Bison is a great meat to enjoy while on the keto diet due to its incredible nutrient profile! This recipe is already keto. How To Know When Your Meatballs Are Done?
The best way to check the doneness of the meatballs is to use an instant thermometer to measure the temperature of the meat. It should read 160°F if you are using ground beef, pork, or lamb and 165°F if you are using ground turkey or chicken.
How To Freeze Bison Meatballs?
To freeze, simply place the cooked meatballs in an airtight container or freezer bag (make sure they are completely cooled first), then put them in the freezer. You can freeze these bison meatballs for up to 3 months. When you are ready to enjoy the meatballs, transfer them to the refrigerator to thaw overnight.
