Ingredients

  • 2 Loaf Gluten-Free Baguette of choice (or 4 small loaves) or other gluten-free bread
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Chopped (heaping tablespoon)
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese, optional
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning or Herbs de Provence (or dried mixed herb seasoning) can sub with 1 tbsp of fresh basil and fresh oregano
  • Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut the loaf in half, horizontally
  • Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture. Mix together the softened butter, parsley, minced garlic, dried herb seasoning, and parmesan cheese in a small bowl.
  • Prepare the Bread. Slice the baguettes in half horizontally. Spread the butter mixture evenly over the bread halves.
  • Bake The Bread. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 8-10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are crispy.
Optional. Broil the bread on high for 1-2 minutes for extra crispy edges. Be careful and watch the bread because it can quickly go from golden brown to burnt.
  • Remove from the oven. Sprinkle with sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, and fresh parsley. Serve and enjoy!

Tips and Recipe Customizations

    • Softened Butter: Remove the butter from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for one or two hours before you need it.
    • Bread Options: If you cannot find gluten-free baguettes, you can always use gluten-free hot dog buns. They work just as well! You could also use gluten-free white loaf bread. Slather garlic butter on both sides and make "Texas Toast" style garlic bread.
    • Make It Vegan: Use dairy-free butter and skip the parmesan. If you want a cheesy flavor, add nutritional yeast. (Make sure the bread you buy is gluten-free and vegan)
    • Roasted Garlic: Make roasted garlic or garlic confit to add to your garlic bread. I do not recommend using garlic powder.
Gluten-Free Baguette: GF Baguettes may be hard to find at the grocery store so you can order them online if you prefer. A few of the popular brands are Schar Certified Gluten-Free Baguette, Udis Gluten-Free French Baguette, or Against The Grain GF Baguette (Amazon)
