Crispy Air Fryer Chickpeas

Air Fryer Chickpeas are the perfect crunchy snack or addition to your meal. Making crispy chickpeas in the air fryer is quicker and easier than in the oven, and the results are even better! This recipe is gluten-free, vegan, and gives you savory, crispy chickpeas that you can add as a topping for your salads, soup, or rice, or enjoy on its own!

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can of Chickpeas (garbanzo beans) rinsed and drained
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt plus more to taste
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper plus more to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 200°C/400°F for 3-5 minutes.
  • Rinse and drain the chickpeas. Then, using a clean cloth or paper towel, pat them dry and remove any excess liquid.
  • Add the chickpeas to a large bowl. Add the olive oil and spices. Mix well so that all the chickpeas are coated.
  • Transfer the chickpeas to the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket a few times so that the chickpeas cook evenly.
  • Remove from the air fryer. Enjoy! You can store the chickpeas in a container or mason jar for up to 4-5 days
